With the plans for the 13th Street renovation currently at 85 percent, Infrastructure Director Byron Landfair and Smith Engineering Project Engineer Scott Hicks anticipate 100 percent completion in the next few weeks, following a presentation to the Artesia City Council at the next council meeting.

As Hicks explained, having the plans at 85 percent means that the major design schematics, like the new water lines, sanitary sewer lines, roadway improvement plan and traffic control plan, are all shown. If any changes are to be made to the plans in the coming weeks, Hicks anticipates them to be “minor.”
