ARTESIA — According to Commander Lindell Smith of the Artesia Police Department, here has been a trend of either stolen or attempts at stealing motorcycles in and around town over the past few weeks.
“About five incidents have occurred involving mostly cruiser-type motorcycles,” Smith said. “Most of the property taken has been recovered. The incidents have not centered around one part of town.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
Citizens can help protect their own property by locking up or otherwise securing their motorcycles when not in use.
Should citizens have any information on the stolen motorcycles, they can contact the police department and have an officer dispatched to collect the information.
