Members of Paws & Claws, the Artesia Trailblazers, the Artesia Chamber of Commerce and numerous public officials with the City of Artesia, Eddy County Commission and the State Legislature gather this morning for the official ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of Artesia’s new animal shelter. The 4,500-square-foot facility will begin housing stray cats and dogs on March 1, according to Infrastructure Director Byron Landfair. Rob Larson – Daily Press
