BOSTON (AP) — D.J. Irving scored 20 points, Dom Morris added a double-double and Boston University used a late, 13-3 run to defeat Vermont 63-53 Tuesday night to snap a two-game losing streak and earn its first America East Conference win of the season.

The Terriers (7-9, 1-2) led 47-46 before Morris sparked the scoring run with a layup with 4:12 left. John Papale capped the run with a layup with 48 seconds left, putting Boston ahead 60-49.

Irving hit 8 of 10 from the foul line, while Morris had 17 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.

Sandro Carissimo paced the Catamounts (9-6, 2-1) with 17 points. Vermont led 24-22 at halftime but shot 27.3 percent (9 of 33) in the second half, including 2 of 16 from 3-point range.

The Terriers hit 54.6 percent (12 of 22) from the field after intermission, including 3 of 6 3-pointers.
