Christmas will officially arrive in the downtown district Thursday, Nov. 29, as the Artesia Chamber of Commerce and Artesia MainStreet host the annual Light Up Artesia event. Santa Claus will come to town at 5:45 p.m. Thursday and will be available for Christmas requests from 6-8:45 p.m. at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center.
