Construction workers continue work this morning on Artesia’s new animal shelter, located behind the Public Safety Complex. Byron Landfair, City of Artesia Infrastructure Director, said the workers will soon be finishing up the rough-in wall work on the interior of the building and will then focus on putting up the drywall. “We’re expecting the building to be complete by the end of the year,” Landfair said. “By the first or second week of January, we’ll be moving everything in.” Rob Larson – Daily Press
