ARTESIA — The Artesia Chamber of Commerce invites the public to join them at several events this week in celebration of the oil and gas industry during Pecos Valley Energy Week.
Wednesday, Oct. 3, a host of area oilfield and service companies will come together in the Bulldog Bowl parking lot to display oilfield equipment and answer questions about a day in the life in the oil patch. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
The presentation has been prepared for nearly 250 New Mexico Math Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) students from around New Mexico who are interested in learning about how science and math are applied in various careers. The students will spend two days in Artesia visiting with company representatives and enjoying tours, educational sessions and the opportunity to get up close to the equipment and personnel that make the oilfield thrive.
