With the Eddy County Fair Rodeo ready to kick off Friday night, Event Director Trampas Spence is anticipating quite a show for everyone planning on attending.
“I’m very excited about this,” Spence said. “I think it’s going to turn out really well. I hope we’ve got a great turnout this year, because I think everybody is going to be thoroughly entertained.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
Months in advance, Spence has been advertizing the event heavily in order to get the highest quality bull riders from around the country.
“We’ve got bull riders coming in from as far as Florida for this,” Spence said. “We’re going to have 25 bull riders every night, and we’re going to mark a total of 38 bulls each night. We’ll have two rounds, too. Twenty-five of the bulls will ride in the first round, and then we’ll bring back the top 12 or 13 to ride in the championship round.”
