ARTESIA — The Artesia Drug & Crime Coalition and Artesia Chamber of Commerce’s Workplace Workshop, originally scheduled for today at PVT, has been rescheduled to Jan. 26, 2012, due to the weather.
With the event being moved back, registrations for the free workshop are again being accepted. To register, call the Chamber at 746-2744.
Also called off today are the Lady Bulldog basketball team’s game against Albuquerque Academy and the Bulldog basketball team’s season opener against Ruidoso. The two Artesia squads were originally scheduled for a 5:30 and 7 p.m. double header at Bulldog Pit.
The games will be rescheduled at a later date. The ‘Dogs and Lady ‘Dogs will host the three-day City of Champions Classic tournament beginning Thursday at the Pit. See Page 3 for a bracket.
In addition, the Artesia Public Schools bands’ Winter Concert, originally scheduled for Monday, Dec. 5, was pushed back to Thursday, Dec. 15, due to the winter storm. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
