Kelly Klein, left, and Rebecca Prendergast set up holiday decorations at The Derrick Floor on Main Street this morning in preparation for this evening’s Light Up Artesia event. Light Up Artesia will kick off with the arrival of Santa Claus, who will parade east on Main Street from Terry’s Electronics to the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center at 5:45 p.m. Children will be able to deliver their Christmas wish lists to Santa at the Ocotillo, and adults will be able to shop till they drop as numerous local merchants remain open until 9 p.m. In addition, several vendors will set up in the downtown area and other retail locations around town, offering goodies, drinks and specialty items.
