ARTESIA — Award-winning Mariachi recording artist Antonio Reyna is coming back to Artesia for his show “Noche De Recuerdos con Antonio Reyna.” The concert will feature Reyna with his guests, Mariachi Raices de America, Ballet En Fuego de Frances Lujan and a very special performance from Lawrence Perez.
The benefit concert is being held to help raise funds for a Braille computer for Perez, an Artesia youth. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Artesia High School Auditorium.
Reyna, a New Mexico native, is the New Mexico Hispanic Entertainer’s Association’s 2011 “Male Vocalist of the Year.” The NMHEA award show, which was held Saturday, June 4, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, also yielded Reyna the “Ranchera Song of the Year” and “Original Song of the Year” awards.
Early this year, Reyna was awarded the New Mexico Hispanic Music Association’s “Mariachi Artist of the Year” in Española. He is one of the most awarded Mariachi entertainers in the state of New Mexico. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
