Each year, many Artesians celebrate the Fourth of July by bringing their families, pets and lawn chairs to Main Street to watch the street turn into a patriotic celebration.
Some of the participants of the parade joined the fun to promote their business and others participated to simply rejoice their freedom.
Colleen Velasquez and her bulldog, Vinnie, the mascot of the Artesia Bulldogs during football season, participated in the parade for the first time.
All of the Volunteer Fire Departments in the area had at least one fire truck in the parade with their own volunteer firefighters riding inside or on top of them.
