QUEEN – The Last Chance fire burning five miles west of Queen reached 49,000 acres yesterday and was 60 percent contained by 8:30 p.m.
Progress on the fire was made with work from firefighters, air resources and favorable weather.
Successful burnout operations continued Tuesday night until the relative humidity became too high.
