Residents from Artesia and the surrounding communities are invited to join architects and the building committee to provide input and feedback on the Artesia Public Library building project at the library from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening.

Architects from JMZ Architecture, a firm with extensive experience in libraries, met with the library building committee to work on a floor plan and floor plan distribution yesterday and today.

According to library building committee member Hayley Klein, the committee has been working with the architects and community members to decide on how the building might look and how the space within the library will be allocated for individual departments.

The public meeting this evening will be an opportunity for the community to voice their ideas and provide additional input on how they would like their new library to look, feel and function. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
