Letter carriers collect food Saturday

Artesia citizens can feed the hungry this weekend without ever leaving their homes.

The National Association of Letter Carriers will hold the nation’s largest food drive on Saturday, May 14. Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food donations from homes as they deliver mail along their routes.

The NALC asks the people of Artesia to contribute canned goods and dry food products and place them in a sturdy bag by their mailboxes. Once it is collected, the food will go to the Artesia Emergency Relief food bank. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
