Artesia Public Safety Complex dedication and ribbon-cutting
City of Artesia Community Development Director Tina Torres cuts a ribbon commemorating the opening of the Public Safety Complex on Thursday afternoon. The $18.6 million 73,500 square foot building brings multiple public entities under one roof.

The Municipal Courtroom features a tall curved ceiling, a decorative marble wall and large windows to allow natural light.

The briefing room can be divided into two rooms to accommodate multiple departments.

The bag and tag room is where officers bring thier evidence to be processed and stored. Evidence is placed in the lockers and retrieved from the other side.
The main evidence storage room features several secure rooms for fire arms and narcotics along with a freezer for other evidence artifacts such as blood from a crime scene.
The detention area features multiple cells and a tunnel leading to the Municipal Courtroom.
The Municipal Court break room features large windows looking across the complex.
