Petra Talavera, 30, of Artesia, found guilty of battery against a household member and criminal damage to property. Sentenced to 85 days in the Eddy County Detention Center.Total fines and fees $206.

Thomas Gonzales, 41, of Artesia, scheduled to appear Nov.20 for two pretrial conferences on charges of battery against a household member and criminal damage to property.

Charges of battery against a police officer and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer dismissed against Matthew Gonzales, 31, of Artesia, due to district court finding the defendant incompetent to stand trial.

Braeden Hodges, 20, of Farmington, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of unlawful use of a license and racing on highways.

Christopher Carrera, 37, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of DWI, unlawful use of a license, duty upon striking an unattended vehicle, immediate notice of an accident, and vehicle without required equipment. In a separate action, Carrera was found guilty of probation violation. Sentenced to three days in the Eddy County Detention Center. Total fines and fees $100. Charges of battery against a household member dismissed against Troy Lara, 31, of Artesia.

Dec. 11

Israel Lopez, 38, of Artesia, found guilty of battery against a household member and criminal trespassing. Sentenced to 38 days in the Eddy County Detention Center. Total fines and fees $226.

Charges of negligent use of a deadly weapon dismissed against Jennifer Urias, 44, of Artesia.

Daniel Sanchez, 48, of Artesia, bound over to district court on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.Two charges of wrongful use of public property were dismissed.

Tony Franco, 26, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.

Alexandro Salinas, 37, of Artesia, found guilty of unlawful use of a license. Sentenced to 30 days in the Eddy County Detention Center. Total fines and fees $531.Charges of battery dismissed against Jonathan Chavez, 27, of Artesia.

David Chapman, 29, of Artesia, found guilty of probation violation. Sentenced to 38 days in the Eddy County Detention Center.

David Gurrola, 41, of Alamogordo, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of unlawful use of a license. In a separate action, Gurrola was scheduled to appear for non—jury trial on charges of vehicle subject to registration and no driver’s license.

Nov. 5

Lewis May, 55, of Alamogordo, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of battery against a household member.

Billy Standard, 65, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of unlawful use of a license.

Yolanda Ruiz, 38, of Midland, Texas, waived extradition on a fugitive from justice warrant from Midland County, Texas.
