Hermosa Elementary School students began their morning by honoring local first responders, from left, Eddy County Sheriff’s Office deputy Justin Dominguez, U.S. Army reservist Justin Silva, Artesia Police Department officer Antonio Baca, Eli Herrera of the Artesia Fire Department, Eddy County Sheriff’s Office deputy Ray Williams, and U.S. Border Patrol agent Ethan Gibson. Principal Cody Skinner thanked the honorees on behalf of the entire student body and staff for “ensuring our safety on a daily basis.”
