After spotting a backhoe in the parking lot of the former Circle K at 712 W. Main St., several residents contacted the Daily Press to ask whether the building was slated for demolition. City of Artesia Community Development director Jim McGuire said today he has heard of no such plans for the building, and the fate of the location is still unknown. The Daily Press will follow up if and when any new development occurs.
