Bill Henry

Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel in Canadian, Texas, for Bill Henry of Keller, Texas.

Henry, 90, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, in Keller.

Grandson Jordan Aguilar will officiate the services. Interment will follow at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemeteries.

Bill was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Klondike, Texas, to J.E. and Mary Jane Henry. He graduated from Memphis High School in 1946 and also graduated from West Texas State University.

Bill served in Germany with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Southwestern Public Service for 32 years.

On May 28, 1955, he married Ruth A. Milom at the Church of Christ in Canadian. She preceded him in death Oct. 12, 2012.

On July 26, 2014, he married Peggy Sue Odom, a high-school classmate, and in 2016, the couple moved to Raider Ranch in Lubbock, Texas.

Bill helped to start a Church of Christ ministry at the ranch. Throughout his life, he was active in his local Church of Christ. He ministered to prisoners and continually shared the story of his Savior Jesus. At the age of 78, he and Ruth started the Bread of Life and Matthew 25 Ministries in Clovis. The couple devoted their later years to feeding and clothing those in need.

Survivors include daughters Tracy Henry of Keller and Melissa Aguilar of Clovis; stepdaughter Suzan Stephan of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren Jordan Aguilar and Preslee Aguilar; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings DP Henry, Dee Henry, Mary Katherine Herron and JC Henry.
