Services are pending at this time for Vera Lorraine Mutter.

A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Mutter, 62, also known as “Wayne,” passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.

She was born Aug. 20, 1956, in Roswell to Richard Morrison and Claudette
“Kahki” Callaway Lakhart. She graduated from Artesia High School.

Wayne drove the bus for Hagerman Schools. She spent lots of time at Lake Van as a Lake Agent. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include niece Patsy Montez and Jayden of the family home; children Toni Robinson and husband Scott, and Patrick Morrison and wife Valerie, both of Artesia, Jeremy Jones of Albuquerque, and Rodney Mutter and wife Berlinda of Arkansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Brenda Turner and husband James of Odessa, Texas, and Jackie Billips of Artesia; numerous nieces and nephews; close friends Justin Powell and all EMTs of the Dexter Fire Department; and precious pets Scooter, Pooh Bear, Momma Kitty and Blue.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Bernie” Mutter; parents Richard “Buddy” Morrison and Kahki Callaway Lakhart; and grandparent Grandma Morrison.
