The FBI has announced it is increasing its reward offered for information leading to the apprehension of a Carlsbad bank robber.

The robbery occurred Nov. 16 at Western Commerce Bank on North Canal Street in Carlsbad. An unidentified person wearing a mask, white, hooded sweatshirt bearing the words “American Eagle,” a dark ski cap, sunglasses, and black gloves entered, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who then fled the bank.

Information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect comes with a $2,500 reward.
