Above, Artesia Police Department officers work the scene of an accident that occurred early this afternoon at 12th Street and Grand Avenue when one vehicle attempted to make a left turn in front of the other. The APD says a citation will likely result from that collision, and injuries were reported but were of unknown severity. Meanwhile, below, just a few yards away from that scene, a driver apparently paying too much attention to the accident and too little to the road caused a second collision, rear-ending the pickup in front of him, which subsequently rear-ended the pickup in front of it. A citation will be issued, and injuries were also unknown in that wreck.
