Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for former longtime Artesia resident Jimmy Davis of Midland, Texas.

Davis departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, in Midland.

He was born April 11, 1935, in Levelland, Texas, to Wilburn Clarence and Alice (Till) Davis.

On March 18, 1955, he married Virginia Alexander in Carlsbad and lived most of his adult life in Artesia.

Survivors include sons Jimmy Davis Jr. and wife Kim of Midland, and Michael Davis and wife Rhonda of Kerrville, Texas; granddaughters Jenny Davis and Lindsey Jones; grandsons Lance Davis, Joey Davis and Matt Davis; great-granddaughters Carrie Davis, Lyla Davis and Ashley Jones; great-grandsons Jude Davis, EJ Davis, Conor Davis and Tyler Jones; sisters Jackie Midkiff of Midland and Vickie Jo Rodriguez of Santa Fe; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Virginia.
