“Honoring Artesia’s Veterans” will open at the Artesia Historical Museum and Art Center with a reception from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, following the Baish Veterans’ Park program.

The exhibit will remain on display through Saturday, Nov. 24, during regular museum hours.

This year, we are featuring never-before-displayed military memorabilia from the Vietnam War, as well as our photo Wall of Honor. The museum is asking the public for photographs of their veterans to display on the Wall — photos should be of current or former residents of Artesia who served in the military, in uniform.

We have had wonderful responses to our previous requests — all photographs submitted previously are included in this year’s show, BUT we do know that not everyone had time to get their photos ready! The museum can copy your original photo and return it to you, or you can submit a copy — we prefer 4×5 or 5×7, please! For more information, call 748-2390.

NOTE: Donations for our reception or veteran thank-you cards must be delivered to the museum BEFORE 11 a.m. Nov. 12 — thank you!
