On June 29, 1960, he married Faye Gonzales in a little white chapel in Las Vegas, Nev.

Cosme was an electrician for most of his life and was the best handyman to have around. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and cooking outdoors.

Survivors include son Mark Gomez of Artesia; daughter Tina Romo and husband Adrian of Midland; daughter-in-law Shannon Gomez of Artesia; grandchildren Christopher Gomez and Shaniece Fuentes of Artesia, Dion Gomez of Artesia, Adrianna Romo, and Nikki Romo; and great-grandchildren Kayson Rayne Gomez, Aviana Faye Gomez and Zoel Aguirre.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Gomez; his parents; two brothers; and five sisters.

Cosme lived a life well-lived. When we start to miss him, just remember he has gone fishing in heaven’s fishing hole.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the eighth-floor Ortho nursing staff at Midland Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Midland for the care and compassion given to our dad.

Arrangements are under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. Condolences may be expressed online at www.artesiafunerals.com.
