Connie Doporto

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 2714 N. Dal Paso, Hobbs, for Tomasita R. “Connie” Doporto.

Doporto, 79, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, in Roswell.

Gerald Salmon will officiate the services, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hobbs.

Connie was born March 7, 1939, in Artesia.

On Nov. 16, 1958, she married Elias Doporto in Artesia.

She loved to cook for friends and family, and sewing. Connie enjoyed watching football, and her family was most important to her. She loved her grandchildren and family, and taking care of her grandchildren. She attended Assembly of God Church in Hobbs.

Survivors include son Michael Doporto and wife Brenda of Hobbs; daughter Dianna Cordero and husband Gilbert of Roswell; Angela Gamboa, whom she loved as a daughter, and husband Art of Albuquerque; brothers Adolf Ramirez and wife Gloria, and Adam Ramirez and wife Kathy, both of Albuquerque, Joe Ramirez and wife Elizabeth of Torreon, and Frank Ramirez and wife Dolores of Artesia; sisters Mayo Salmon of Albuquerque and Becky Quezada and husband Lazaro of Pittsburgh, Texas; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Joe and Maria Ramirez; brothers Larry and Sammy Ramirez; and sister Margie Artiago.
