Pregnancy Help Center of Artesia is working to raise funds through an upcoming banquet as well as its new children’s resale boutique.

Due to an overabundance of donations of children’s clothing and items, PHCA decided to open Mina Rue’s Children’s Resale Boutique at 104 N. Fifth St., adjacent A Cowgirl’s Closet.
The boutique is staffed by clients of PHCA and features daily specials. All donations of gently-used baby and maternity clothing, as well as baby items, including strollers, basinets, chairs, swings, etc., are tax-deductible.

In addition, the PHCA will hold its fifth annual fundraising banquet at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the First Baptist Church Total Life Center.

The event will be catered by Adobe Rose. Tickets are free, but attendees must be on the guest list. For more information, call 736-6400.

PHCA is also seeking volunteers and will host a booth Oct. 1-6 at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair in Roswell. The booth will feature information about the center, along with a nursing/diaper station.
