The City of Artesia is working this week to install a four-way stop at the intersection of 17th Street and Washington Avenue, pictured above. Motorists heading both north and south on 17th and east and west on Washington will now be required to stop in order to increase traffic safety in the area. The city is marking the intersection today and anticipates the four-way stop will be in place by no later than Monday.
