Patty Schafers’ Advanced Choir class from Zia Intermediate School, Principal Larry Combs, and Assistant Principal Chanda Crandel accept a school supply and monetary donation last week from Vicky Townley, executive vice president of First American Bank. The supplies will be distributed to teachers and students throughout the school year as needed. All donations were gathered by bank employees who became aware of the needs at the intermediate level and were motivated to help. “We believe in supporting our local schools and are committed to building a better community,” said Townley.
