Bob Stuart

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1, in San Antonio, Texas, for Robert Henry Stuart.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Albuquerque.

Bob was born in 1929 to James Austin and Mary Ella (Hight) Stuart. He was educated in the Artesia Public Schools and graduated from the University of New Mexico. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama.

He retired as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force after serving 26 years. He received the Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medals, Vietnam Service Medals, Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He subsequently served as vice president at BDM International Corporation/Northrup-Gruman for 17 years.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jane; daughters Laura Ruth, Mary Angela and Anne Marguerite and husband Patrick Marble; granddaughter Kelsea J. Marble; grandson Robert Tyler Marble and wife Brianna; and great-granddaughters Reese Anna and Ryann Grace Marble.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Hight Stuart Barajas; and his siblings, Wilber, Irene, Ira, Averille, James, D.C., Garland, Drotha and John.
