Artesia General Hospital staff, administration and board members, along with representatives of the contractor in charge of the project, broke ground this morning on a new addition to the hospital. The West Addition near the entrance to the hospital at 13th Street and Memorial Drive, will feature a new kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining, and conference rooms. Among those pictured are James Greer, president and co-owner of Greer Construction, Geronimo Segura, project superintendent for Greer Construction, Dennis Maupin, chairman of the Artesia Special Hospital District board, Richard Gibson, AGH CEO, Cory Yates, AGH CFO, Anna Byers, chairman of the AGH Governing Board, board members Pam Horner and Ben Harvey, and Julie Gibson, executive director of Business Development for AGH. Maupin stated the addition was an exciting project for both the hospital and the citizens of Artesia.
