Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Cyril J. Alcorn of Artesia.

Alcorn, 88, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, in Artesia.

He was born Sept. 7, 1929, the son of Herbert and Ola Emily (Oliver) Alcorn. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

Cyril worked for Navajo Refining, retiring in September 1991. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.

He rode his motorcycle all over the United States and was a shooting marksman and a War-Era collector.

Survivors include grandchildren Travis Alcorn, Renee Sallee and Coulter Alcorn; and great-grandchildren Truitt Sallee, Tatum Sallee and Tracelynn Alcorn.
