The hot temperatures that have settled over Artesia in recent days have driven most residents indoors, but not so for the above-pictured trio of dedicated Artesia High School Bulldogs. Fernando Escobedo, left, was found Tuesday afternoon running drills at Jaycee Park with receiver Jerron Arredondo and aspiring receiver (and actual right tackle) Erik Smith. When asked what on earth they were doing out in the heat of the day, the athletes responded, “Winning a state title.” See below for the road the Bulldogs will be taking toward that goal: the 2018 AHS football schedule.
