Grand Heights Early Childhood Center principal Mitzi McCaleb works diligently this morning to sign diplomas for Artesia’s upcoming kindergarten graduation festivities. A total of 277 Eager Beavers will prepare to move on to become Thunderbirds, Super Kids, Roadrunners, Bullpups or Bandits during ceremonies scheduled for Monday, May 14, Tuesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 17, at the school. Monday’s graduations will feature the Hippo and Bear classes at 5 p.m.; Frogs and Raccoons at 6:15 p.m.; and Kangaroos and Penguins at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, it’s the Elephants and Cheetahs at 5 p.m.; Monkeys and Bees at 6:15 p.m.; and Moose and Turtles at 7:30 p.m., and Thursday, it’s the Ducks and Lions at 5 p.m., Owls and Dolphins at 6:15 p.m.; and Foxes and Ponies at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and photo booths will be available.
