Owen Puckett Jr.

Owen E. Puckett Jr., 42, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in Springfield, Mo.

A private memorial will be held at Hermosa Church of Christ. Cremation will take place.

Owen was born Nov. 27, 1975, in Las Cruces. He came to Artesia at an early age and attended Artesia Head Start, Grand Heights Early Childhood Center, Yucca Elementary School, and Zia Intermediate School.

During his life, Owen worked on and off in the oilfield for George Young Sales, L&R Well Service, and MSI Services. He had a passion for art, he loved to draw free-hand, and he loved country music.

Survivors include daughter Kristen Nicole Tucker of Dallas, Texas; parents Owen and Belinda Puckett of Artesia; brothers Kenton Puckett and wife Britany of Albuquerque, and Kyler Puckett of New York, N.Y.; grandparents Ken and Jo Newton of Artesia; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents William Owen and Relda Euldene Puckett; aunt Suzanne Stone Puckett; and cousins Shilo Newton and Stephen Morrison.
