Two juveniles are in custody and one is being sought after wrecking into a home near Park Junior High School this afternoon following a brief pursuit.

The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. today after the Artesia Police Department was alerted to three individuals wearing ski masks and jumping fences in the area of La Cima Road.

After encountering officers, the three fled to the area of Park Junior High, where they lost control of their vehicle, wrecked into a home near the corner of Cannon Avenue and Bowman Drive, and attempted to flee on foot.

According to Cmdr. Lindell Smith, the APD caught two of the juvenile suspects; the third is known. Smith says the youth have not yet been charged.
