The 2017 NMPA APME Better Newspaper Contest awards were handed out during the 109th annual New Mexico Press Association convention at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa Saturday.

The contest is sponsored jointly by the New Mexico Press Association and the New Mexico Associated Press Managing Editors. Judging was completed by the Arizona Newspaper Association.
