Sissy is a super-sweet Husky who was picked up running the streets. She is about 2 years old and weighs 33 pounds. Sissy is good with other dogs and walks great on a leash. She has 72 hours to find her owners, be adopted, or find rescue. Anyone wishing to meet Sissy may visit the Artesia Animal Shelter, 501 Paddy Wagon Way. Paws & Claws Humane Society does not have a physical shelter; rather, all animals up for adoption are either located at the Artesia Animal Shelter, behind the Artesia Public Safety Complex, or with a foster family. If animals are with a foster family, Paws & Claws will work with the adopter to set up a meeting time and place. The Artesia Animal Shelter is open from 8 a.m. – noon and 1-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and is closed Sundays and holidays. For more information, call the shelter at 746-5041.
