There’s a chill in the night air lately as fall finally settles into Artesia, and before long, local residents will be able to partake in a chilly treat, as well: the Frosty. Local real estate agency Lois Oliver by way of agent Jon Henry set visions of Baconators dancing through Artesians’ heads Tuesday evening with the announcement the city will soon be welcoming a new fast-food option as Wendy’s comes to town. The restaurant will be located in the now-vacant lot at 11th and Main streets. The owner is currently remodeling the Wendy’s in Hobbs and will begin construction on Artesia’s as soon as that project is complete.
