With information that one day of clear water test results have been achieved with the second day (which would lift the boil water alert) expected Tuesday, the Artesia Public Schools Board of Education has confirmed classes will resume Wednesday.

The board said school cafeterias will be serving food that does not require the use of water for cooking or washing vegetables. The schools have also purchased enough bottled water to provide each student with two bottles per day until the lines can be properly flushed; however, students may also bring their own additional bottled water to school. Students will also be provided hand sanitizer for cleansing after using the restroom.

Following will be the menu for the week:

Breakfast: Cereal, yogurt, fruit juice, choice of milk
Lunch: Breaded chicken sandwich, potato salad, pickle spear, pineapple tidbits, choice of milk
