Above, Texas-based Red Dirt band Whiskey Myers kicks off their set in front of an enthusiastic crowd Saturday in Heritage Plaza. The country/Southern rock band capped off the day-long Red Dirt Black Gold Festival downtown, which featured a variety of events designed to celebrate the local oil and gas industry as well as regional Red Dirt music. Below, the team representing Buffalo Oilfield Supply poses for a snapshot after taking top honors Saturday morning in the Oilfield Olympics at Eagle Draw. A total of four teams competed this year for Black Gold supremacy, squaring off in oilfield-related games that included the Drill Bit Toss and Barrel Brigade Race.
