Don Morrow

Graveside services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Carlsbad for Donald O. “Don” Morrow of Lubbock, Texas.

Morrow, 88, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, in Lubbock.

Jeremy Maupin will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. today at Denton-Wood Funeral Home in Carlsbad.

Don was born March 27, 1929, in House to Frank James and Frances Eudora (Panell) Morrow. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1947.

On Nov. 18, 1948, he married Adeline Joyce Moore.

Don worked for IMC for 20 years, then for Fordtown for 31 years before retiring in March 2012. He never missed coffee with his friends at McDonald’s until he moved to Lubbock four years ago. He was a longtime member of Sunset Church of Christ.

Survivors include children Terry Morrow and wife Judy of Carlsbad, Donna Maupin and husband Terry of Artesia, and Roger Morrow and wife Lisa of Lubbock; grandchildren Clint Morrow and wife Kim, Terah Sexton and husband Chance, Jeremy Maupin and wife Nicole, Julie Washichek and husband Derek, Jamie Montoya and husband Derek, Sarah Morrow, and Cory Morrow and wife Becca; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Brooks, Tripp, Kadence, Grayden, Braelynn, Kion and Finley; brothers Marvin Morrow and Dennis Morrow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Adeline Joyce Morrow; son Robert “Bobby” Keith Morrow; grandson Micah Don Morrow; sisters Edith Sorrels and Ola Mae Garner; and brothers Owen Morrow and Melvin Morrow.
