The Artesia High School Class of 2018 shouts along with the cheerleaders during a traditions assembly this morning at the school. The three classes tested their vocal chords against one another as AHS customs and lore were explained to the incoming sophomores. This year’s student body is comprised of 896 students (270 seniors, 330 juniors, and 296 sophomores), the biggest registrar Lou Lopez says she’s seen in her seven years on the job.
