Sokie Dominguez

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Socorro “Sokie” Dominguez.

Dominguez, 61, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Salazar Mortuary of Albuquerque.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace.

Sokie was born March 27, 1956, in Artesia, the daughter of Eugenio and Socorro (Salcido) Martinez.

She was a wonderful mother and an awesome grandmother. She was a free spirit who loved life.

Survivors include her one and only daughter, Aliah Anguiano; her wonderful son-in-law, whom she loved deeply, John Anguiano; her three fantastic grandkids, Anastaysha, Alesa and Andrew Anguiano; a fabulous sister, Nora Bustamante; brothers David, Israel, Eugene Jr. and Martin Martinez; aunts Estella Juarez and Sofia Rodriguez; uncle Fred Salcido; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Juan and Paula Salcido.
