The Artesia Police Department is continuing to investigate a shots fired report that resulted in injuries.

The APD was dispatched around 10:45 p.m. Monday to the Moose Lodge in the 2700 block of West Main Street in reference to shots fired.

According to APD Cmdr. Lindell Smith, the incident appeared to be the latest in an ongoing series of domestic incidents, and “slight injuries” resulted.

Smith says evidence was collected and officers are continuing to investigate.
