Margaret Lugo

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix NE, Albuquerque, for Margaret Lugo.

Lugo, 93, was called home to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Cruz Lugo, Friday, June 2, 2017, Cruz’s 98th birthday.

Interment will follow the services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlie Rodriguez, Andy Lugo Jr., Mark Lugo, Tony Baca Jr. Augustine “Tino” Baca and Wayne Church Jr.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Margaret was born May 7, 1924, in Tortugas, N.M.

Survivors include daughters Delfina Rodriguez, Sally Baca, Elisa Garcia and husband Douglas, and Sara Cline and husband David; son Danny Lugo and wife Lillian; sister Stella Blanco; 25 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Esther Lugo; eldest son Narciso “Chicho” Lugo; son-in-law Dolores Rodriguez; her mother and father; three brothers; and four sisters.

Arrangements are under the direction of Direct Funeral Services of Albuquerque.
