The body of a woman found two weeks ago buried outside a house in south Roswell has been identified.

The Roswell Police Department says Ambra Lynn Taylor is the individual who is believed to have been murdered. RPD investigators were able to make the identification based on tattoos and other information provided by the public.

Taylor was 41 when she disappeared in Roswell in April 2016, the investigation determined. Investigators believe she had been in Roswell only a short time before her disappearance and murder. She is believed to have come to Roswell from Albuquerque.

Taylor’s body was found May 9 buried on the property of a vacant house in the 600 block of Greenbrier Drive.

Police continue to ask for the public’s assistance in providing information that could help investigators. Anyone with potential information regarding this case is asked to call the RPD at 624-6770.
