Bryce Bowerman

A raffle is being held to benefit a local family that lost their son in late April to an auto accident.

Bryce Bowerman, 20, was killed April 28 in a wreck near Las Cruces, where he was a student at New Mexico State University. He leaves behind his parents and younger sister, all of Artesia, and a host of friends.

The raffle has been organized to aid the Bowerman family with medical expenses. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100 and are available for purchase at Bennie’s Western Wear, Double D Animal Nutrition & Supply, Burnett Ranch Feeds, Henry’s BBQ, Guy Chevrolet and Sun Country Garden Center.

The winner will receive their choice of any firearm in stock at Bennie’s, donated by Colt and Sara Langenegger, or a custom purse made to the winner’s specifications by artist Judy Elkins.

The drawing will be held Friday, June 2, and the winner will be notified by phone.
