Judge Daniel Reyes Jr.

Sarah C. Lara, 35, of Artesia, found guilty of unlawful use of a license, no insurance, and expired registration. Sentenced to four days in ECDC. Total fines and fees $778.
Jeremy Quezada, 23, of Artesia, scheduled to appear March 29 for preliminary examination on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary, aggravated burglary, armed robbery, kidnapping, and failure to register as a sex offender.
Hilardo P. “Lalo” Juarez IV, 25, of Artesia, scheduled to appear March 29 for preliminary examination on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault upon a household member with a deadly weapon.

ARTESIA MUNICIPAL COURT

Judge Kaye L. Kiper

Brandon J. Whitten found guilty of seven counts of failure to appear on summons for failure to pay fines. Sentenced to 35 days in the Artesia Detention Center.

Gavin J. Soto found guilty of interference with officers and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 60 days in the Artesia Detention Center. Total fines and fees $258. In a separate ruling, Soto was found guilty of eight counts of failure to appear on summons for failure to pay fines. Sentenced to 30 days in the Artesia Detention Center.
